Fare By All, For All
Fare By All, For All
By engaging passengers and giving them the tools to report fare evasion, the project aims to foster a sense of ownership over the transportation system, leading to reduced fare evasion, increased safety, and more equitable access to transportation through subsidies. The overarching goal is to create a sustainable, user-driven public transportation system that supports societal values like fairness and responsibility.

Fare evasion in Transport for London's (TfL) system results in significant financial losses, around £150 million annually, and negatively impacts public transportation by leading to budget cuts, service disruptions, and a sense of unfairness among paying passengers. The problem stems from economic disparity, low perceived risk, and social behaviors, with fare evaders viewing the system as either unaffordable or easy to exploit. Witnesses of fare evasion often feel helpless and uncomfortable, further eroding trust in the system.

Economic Disparity, protest for increase in fares, and the ones we wanted to focus on- Majority of Individuals perceive it as low risk and take advantage of it. And finally people are influenced by seeing others doing it and are encouraged by their behavior.
But this has a negative effect on the entire system...
